Upload two photos — one of you, one of your friend — and get back a 12-second two-photo video: an AI rap duo on one stage, lip-synced, with original AI lyrics over an original AI beat. That is the Hype Duo template, live today, and one full 12-second 480p video is $3.99, paid once with no subscription, after a free 6-second watermarked preview. The Hotel Lobby meme template that recreates the orange-studio staging is still coming, and it will render silent so you can add the trending sound yourself. The trend itself crested in late September 2026 and search interest has drained away since, but the two-photo format did not go anywhere: two people, one stage, twelve seconds still works for a birthday post, a group chat or a team intro. This page covers what the trend was, how to make your own version, and what a render costs.
This page is not affiliated with Quavo, Takeoff, their labels, the creators of the original clips, TikTok or CapCut, and it does not use the original "Hotel Lobby" recording.
What the Hotel Lobby AI trend is
The trend takes its name from "Hotel Lobby", the Quavo and Takeoff track. Someone would upload two photos, usually two friends or two famous people, and get back a short clip of that pair performing the song. The faces and bodies were swapped in by a video model. The set stayed the same every time: one orange-lit studio room, two performers side by side, the first photo on the left and the second on the right.
It started on TikTok in the first days of September 2026. Google Trends only picked the phrase up around 18 September. It peaked on 26 September and then fell fast. By late October it was running at a few percent of that peak.
Three things made it spread. It needed two people, so you made one with somebody and then sent it to them. The orange studio was recognisable in the first second, so the scroll stopped before the viewer knew why. And it needed no filming and no editing skill, only two photos already on your phone.
How to make a Hotel Lobby AI video
- Upload two photos: one of you, one of your friend. Use the generator above this article. Photo 1 becomes the performer on the left, Photo 2 the performer on the right. Swap the upload order to swap sides.
- Pick a two-photo stage. Hype Duo is the one to use today: it puts the AI rap duo on one stage and writes and performs original bars over an original AI beat. The Hotel Lobby meme stage that recreates the orange-studio staging is listed as coming, and it will render silent.
- Generate. A 12-second render takes about one to two minutes. We email you when it is done, so you can close the tab.
- Add the sound when you post, if you used a meme stage. The meme stages render a silent clip on purpose: drop it into TikTok or CapCut, add the sound there, and post. Hype Duo and the other stages that use our own AI beat come with audio and lip sync already in the file, so there is nothing to add.
Spend your free preview first. Every account gets one 6-second 480p preview, which is enough to see whether both faces hold.
Which photos work best
- One person per photo. A group shot gives the model two faces to choose from, and it will pick the wrong one.
- Front-facing, eyes open. A head turned far to the side or tipped back loses the face halfway through the clip.
- Even light, no sunglasses. Hard shadow across half a face, hats low over the eyes and heavy filters all cost you detail.
- Frame from the chest up. A full-body photo taken from across a room leaves too few pixels in the face to rebuild.
- Adults who agreed to appear. No photos of minors, and no faces you do not have permission to use.
- Match the two photos roughly. Two daylight phone photos sit together better than a studio portrait next to a night-time flash shot. JPEG, PNG or WebP, under 10 MB each.
How it compares to making the clip by hand
Three ways to end up with a two-photo duo video, and what each one asks of you:
- Template apps you edit yourself. You film the footage, cut it to the beat and source a track you are allowed to use. Full control, and an evening of work before anything is postable.
- General-purpose AI video tools. You write the prompts, generate the clip, then fix the timing and the lip sync yourself, usually over several attempts. Flexible, but the mouth matching the words is your problem.
- This generator. Two photos and a template. With Hype Duo the lyrics and the beat are generated, the lip sync is done for you, and you download a 12-second MP4: $3.99 for one 480p video, one-time, after a free 6-second preview. The Hotel Lobby meme stage, once it lands, renders silent so you add the trending sound yourself — we never ship the original recording.
Using the trend after the wave
The searches went away. The reason people watched a clip twice did not. A two-person rap video is still the easiest thing to make for a birthday, a best-friend post, a new hire's first day or a leaving present. Those occasions arrive every week, and none of them care which hashtag peaked in September.
So treat Hotel Lobby as a format, not as a meme to chase. Make one for a person rather than for an algorithm. If you want two people trading lines instead of performing together, the diss track stage and the other stages on the AI rap generator page cover that.
Sound, copyright and takedowns
We do not ship the "Hotel Lobby" recording, and we do not ship any other copyrighted song. That is why the meme stages render a silent clip. You add the sound on the platform you post to, which holds its own music licences. We do not hold those, and a downloadable MP4 with somebody's record inside it is their copyright, not yours.
There is one other route. The non-meme stages write original bars and perform them over an original AI beat, so that audio is ours and yours to post. We print no lyrics from any released song anywhere on this site.
Photos follow the same rule: upload only photos you have the right to use. If a video uses your face, your recording or your song without permission, tell us and we take it down. The process is on the DMCA and takedowns page.
What it costs
Each account with a verified email gets one free 6-second 480p preview, watermarked and play only. After that, credits go on the video: a 12-second 480p render is 30 credits and 720p is 60. Credit packs are one-time, with no subscription: $3.99 for 30 credits, which is one 480p video, $9.99 for 100, $29.99 for 350 and $79.99 for 1,000. Credits do not expire, and a failed render returns your credits automatically. Paid videos download as a clean MP4 — only the free preview carries a watermark. Delete a project and its photos, audio and videos are removed from our storage right away. Full details are on the pricing page.
New rap video formats arrive roughly every month, and each one is worth making while it is fresh. The trends channel tracks what is rising now, with a page and a template per format. For the formats that work all year, start on the AI rap generator page.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the Hotel Lobby AI trend from Quavo and Takeoff?
It recreates the format, not the record. The original clips put two faces in an orange-lit studio room performing the "Hotel Lobby" track. What you can make here today is the same two-photo AI rap duo through the Hype Duo template: original AI lyrics over an original AI beat, lip-synced, a 12-second MP4 for $3.99 one-time. The Hotel Lobby meme template that recreates the orange-studio staging is still coming, and it renders silent so you add the trending sound yourself when you post. We never ship the original recording, and this site is not affiliated with Quavo, Takeoff, their labels or whoever made the first clips.
Do I need to film anything?
No. Two photos are the whole input — Photo 1 is the performer on the left, Photo 2 the performer on the right. No camera, no studio, no editing app.
Does it work with one photo?
Not for this format. Hotel Lobby is a two-photo stage and needs one photo per performer. For a single face, use a one-person stage such as the diss track one.
What does a Hotel Lobby video cost?
One 12-second 480p video is $3.99, paid once, with no subscription — that is the 30-credit pack, and a 12-second 480p render is 30 credits. Before you pay anything, each account with a verified email gets one free 6-second 480p watermarked preview, which plays on the site only. Larger packs are $9.99 for 100 credits, $29.99 for 350 and $79.99 for 1,000; credits do not expire, and a failed render returns them automatically.
Can I use my own song?
Not inside the file we hand you. The meme stages render silent, so you are free to add any audio you have the right to use once the clip is on TikTok, Reels or Shorts. If you want audio baked in, use a stage that comes with our original AI beat, such as Hype Duo.
Vertical or landscape?
Each stage has a fixed shape, so choose before you generate. Vertical suits TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Landscape suits YouTube and laptop screens. Cropping a landscape clip to vertical afterwards cuts one of the two faces out.
How long does it take?
About one to two minutes for a 12-second render, plus a little queue time when the site is busy. You get an email when the video is ready, so you do not have to watch the page. Nothing to install either — it runs in your browser.
Can I use celebrity photos?
Use photos you have the right to use. For most people that means themselves and friends who agreed to appear. Public figures hold rights in their own likeness, and a clip of a real person appearing to say things they never said causes real harm. We remove reported videos.
