Type a name, an age and an inside joke, add a photo, and you get a 12-second vertical video of that person rapping an original birthday verse on a party stage — balloons, confetti, friends cheering — lip-synced over a bouncy beat and finished with a happy-birthday shout. Lyric drafts are free, the full video costs $3.99 as a one-time purchase with no subscription, and every verified account gets a free 6-second watermarked preview first. A birthday card gets read once; a birthday rap with their name in it gets replayed in the group chat all day.
How to make a birthday rap video
- Keep the Birthday Rap template. It is already selected in the generator above and sets the party stage, the beat and the warm, funny tone.
- Add a photo. One clear, front-facing photo of an adult who agreed to appear. It can be the birthday person rapping about themself, or you rapping to them. Add a second photo to put two people on stage.
- Write the topic. Names, the age and one or two details only your crew would get. Leave it empty and the AI writes a general birthday verse instead.
- Generate. The AI writes the bars, raps them over an original beat and renders the lip-synced video. Want every word to be yours? Open "Write my own lyrics", draft or type the verse, and the video raps exactly that.
Birthday song generator or birthday rap video?
Most AI birthday song generators give you an audio file with the name sung in it. This one is built for the moment someone opens the message: a short rap that says their name, the age and the joke, performed by a face they know. It raps rather than sings, so expect tight bars and a shouted hook, not a ballad. It also never sings the Happy Birthday tune or anybody's birthday hit. The verse and the beat are written new, so the video is yours to post.
Birthday rap ideas by who it's for
Twelve seconds is about 30 words, so one sharp idea beats a life story.
- Best friend. The running joke you have had since school, the trip that went wrong, the order they always get.
- Sister or brother. Who was the favorite, who still owes who money, who borrowed the car.
- Partner. How you met, the thing they do that nobody else knows about, a sweet line to finish.
- Mom or dad. The phrase they always say, the dish they are famous for, how many times they told you so.
- Turning 30, 40 or 50. Lean into the number: the first gray hair, the new back pain, still the life of the party.
- Coworker. The spreadsheet wizard, the coffee order, the meeting that could have been an email. Keep it office-safe.
- Grandparents. Switch to the Grandma & Grandpa Rap template above for a cozy living-room stage and an old-school beat.
- A kid's birthday. An adult does the rapping. Upload a parent's or grandparent's photo and put the birthday kid's name and age in the topic.
Sweet, funny or a roast?
- Sweet and funny. Birthday Rap, the default here. The lyrics celebrate the person and land on a happy-birthday shout.
- Two people, all hype. Hype Duo puts two photos side by side on a concert stage trading bars, which suits the birthday person and their best friend.
- A birthday roast. Roast Battle puts two photos face to face for friendly jabs. To roast one target on their own, use the diss track maker and ask for a playful birthday roast.
Which photos work best
- One person per photo, chest up. A group shot gives the model several faces to choose from, and it may pick the wrong one.
- Front-facing, eyes open, even light. Party photos in dim light, sunglasses and heavy filters cost you detail.
- Adults who agreed to appear. No photos of minors, and no faces you do not have permission to use.

Ready before the party
A render usually takes one to two minutes, plus queue time when the site is busy. Close the tab and we email you when the video is ready. Lyric drafts are instant, so you can lock the words now and render the morning of the birthday. The download is a vertical 9:16 MP4 that plays in a text message, WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, and the lyrics are saved with every video so you can paste them into the card.
What it costs
Lyric drafts are free within guest limits and need no account. Credits go on the video only: each verified-email account gets one play-only, 6-second 480p watermarked preview. A downloadable 12-second 480p video is 30 credits and 720p is 60. Credit packs are one-time, with no subscription: $3.99 for 30 credits, which is exactly one 480p video, then $9.99 for 100, $29.99 for 350 and $79.99 for 1,000. Credits do not expire, and a failed render gives them back automatically.

Frequently asked questions
Can AI make a birthday rap with someone’s name in it?
Yes. Put the name, the age and a couple of inside jokes in the topic box, and the AI writes them into an original birthday verse that ends on a happy-birthday shout. Upload a photo and that face raps it, lip-synced, in a 12-second vertical video. Lyric drafts are free, so you can read the verse before you render anything.
Is this an AI birthday song generator?
It is a birthday song generator that raps and ends in a video. Song generators hand you an audio track to play; this one writes a short birthday rap, performs it with an AI voice over an original beat and puts it in the mouth of the person in your photo. The delivery is rap bars, not a sung melody, so if you need someone to sing a ballad, a song generator is the simpler tool.
Will it sing the Happy Birthday song?
No. Every verse is written new for your person, and the beat is an original AI track chosen by the template, not the Happy Birthday tune or a famous birthday song. The template finishes the verse with a happy-birthday shout instead. You cannot upload a song or pick a different beat.
Can I make a funny birthday rap or a birthday roast?
Yes. Ask for it in the topic, such as "roast him a little about turning 40", and the lyrics follow. For a proper roast where two people trade jabs, switch to the Roast Battle template with two photos. Keep it friendly: no slurs, no threats and no jokes about how someone looks.
Can I make a birthday rap for my kid?
Yes, but the rapper has to be an adult. Photos of minors are not allowed on this site, for any template. Upload a photo of a parent, a grandparent or the favorite uncle, put the birthday kid’s name and age in the topic, and that adult raps the shout-out.
Do I need one photo or two?
One is enough: that person raps the whole verse. Birthday Rap also takes a second photo, which puts two people on the party stage side by side, such as the birthday person and their best friend. Hype Duo and Roast Battle need exactly two photos.
How long does it take and what does it cost?
A 12-second render usually takes one to two minutes, plus queue time when the site is busy, and we email you when it is ready. One 480p video is 30 credits and 720p is 60. The $3.99 pack is exactly 30 credits, which is one 480p video; larger packs are $9.99 for 100 credits, $29.99 for 350 and $79.99 for 1,000, all one-time with no subscription. A failed render returns your credits automatically.
Can I send it on WhatsApp or post it on TikTok?
Yes. Paid videos download as a vertical 9:16 MP4 with no watermark, ready for a text message, WhatsApp, a family group chat, TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. The free 6-second preview is watermarked and plays on the site only.
Is the birthday rap generator free?
The lyrics are: drafts are free within guest limits and need no account. Videos use credits, and every verified-email account gets one free 6-second 480p preview first. The preview is watermarked and plays on the site only; the paid 12-second video downloads clean.
